Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Bay. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Bay. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"The guys running the course were great! Knowledgeable, relaxed and supportive. Unfortunately there was someone there, the first day, to do some surveying of the company or something. He on the other hand was a complete asshat who did nothing but confuse the students and shout random stuff angrily. I’ve put 5 stars despite that guy. I assume he’s not there often so I would still 100% recommend the company."

"Excellent instructors. They answer any and every question very well. I particularly like them illustrating points with personal anecdotes - you remember stuff well. Good initiation into motorcycling. Good motorcycles to learn on. Helmets provided. A bit hectic."
― Arun Chandrashekharapuram
"Absolutely fantastic training for the newbie!! I was riding a motorcycle by the end of the day- it was fabulous! The teachers, both in the classroom and on the range, are all very experienced (10+years) riders. They stayed calm even when I didn't. The classroom instruction is thorough but not excessive; I would have loved a few more hours on the range since I was SO new. I will definitely be taking more classes with them!"

"My experience was great with Pacific Motorcycle Training in Woodland, on the Pioneer High School campus. Thomas and Steve were the instructors and they were very knowledgeable, supportive and fostered an overall nonjudgmental environment that was conducive to learning. I had never ridden a motorcycle in my life and by the end of the course I had a lot of the foundational skills down. I would recommend this course to anyone. And extra shout out to Thomas and Steve!"

"Fantastic course. Both Isaac and Craig were great instructors, very lively and engaging. Overall, the course was very informative, and the practical portion of the course left me with a much greater understanding of how to be a better, safer rider."
― Boris Boukhonine
"Awesome experience - I d never ridden a motorcycle before and felt very comfortable cruising and stopping at least at low speeds by the end. Erin Mitch and Crusoe all gave really helpful advice and clearly knew what they were talking about"
― Joseph Martin
"This was the best class I have ever taken. The teachers were amazing, especially Craig. His guidance and teaching style was so approachable. So often teachers talk at you but not the case with this program. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"
