Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Peninsula. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Peninsula. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Our San Bruno site is only a 15-20 minute walk from BART, so it is a great option for students needing to use public transportation. (Note: if taking BART, sign up for our PM session and be sure to go https://www.bart.gov/planner to plan your trip.) The training location is also easy to get to by car as it is conveniently located off HWY 380 and El Camino Real, right between 101 and 280.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all San Bruno residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Hillsborough, Millbrae, Burlingame, Pacifica, San Francisco, Colma, Daly City, Brisbane, and more.

"As a person who rode for 18+ years then took a 35+ year break, the class was an excellent refresher. It helped me remember a lot of things (push steering for one) that I had long forgotten. The instructors were personable, friendly, professional and VERY knowledgeable. All in all, I feel it was an excellent investment in time and money. I highly recommend this class for ALL beginners and those of us that have had a long hiatus from riding."

"Amazing instructors(I had Tex and Evie), helped everyone in a different way. They made sure that everyone understood how everything was supposed to look like and be done the right way. It was so good I told my father to do it and he's about to sign up soon. 10/10, definitely going to take more classes with them in the future"

"I really had no clue as to what to expect, was pleasantly surprised at every turn, pun intended. I ve been riding for quite a few years, but was always able to avoid getting pulled over, I never had a license. I felt fairly confident going in, I feel much more confident going out. Both of our instructors were excellent, communication was clear and concise, and reinforced with their riding knowledge. I was a little surprised that they had Harleys to ride, and the surprise was pleasant, I ride a full sized Harley, I would ve never been able to do the course with it. A 500 Harley was a joy to ride, totally surprised. Next step take another course, you can never have too much knowledge. Would recommend this to anyone, regardless of skill level or age. I m 65, and I pretty much physical wreck, I ve had more surgeries than Frankenstein. My instructors made allowances for it and coach me at every turn again pun intended."

"I had a great time and learned a lot! I went in with 0 motorcycle experience. The classroom time was packed with information and a good preparation for the next session on the range. There's almost no wasted time during the classroom time and time on the motorcycle. They really condensed everything they could. It's also pretty fun."

"I am training to be an instructor and it is required to take several classes to get an understanding of the program from a new rider's perspective. I am impressed with how well the program works I have been to 1 class and then I was a student both times I watched Evie teach very new students ranging in age how to ride a motorcycle. She is a great teacher and is very good at giving positive feedback and helping the students if they need help in a certain drill. I have been riding for 50 years and it was a good opportunity for me to see if I have learned the proper skills...this helped to reinforce what I have learned but is a good reminder that just because I have been riding for 50 years doesn't mean I learned the proper skills. This program will teach you the skills you need to ride a motorcycle."

"I have completed my Advance Level 1 and Level 2 training with them. Professional instructors, good class size. Great feedback and immense progress during the day. Livermore is a convenient location. Appreciated the water and snacks provided. I will go back to attend more training, I feel so much safer on the road having completed their courses!"
