Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Peninsula. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Peninsula. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Our San Bruno site is only a 15-20 minute walk from BART, so it is a great option for students needing to use public transportation. (Note: if taking BART, sign up for our PM session and be sure to go https://www.bart.gov/planner to plan your trip.) The training location is also easy to get to by car as it is conveniently located off HWY 380 and El Camino Real, right between 101 and 280.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all San Bruno residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Hillsborough, Millbrae, Burlingame, Pacifica, San Francisco, Colma, Daly City, Brisbane, and more.

"Awesome experience! Chris, Kyle, and Isaac are great instructors. They will correct your mistakes every time they see something wrong because they really want to prevent you from building bad habits. I recommend this course for anyone interested in learning to ride. Don't be intimidated, most of the class has never touched a bike before and they start you off really easy until you're comfortable!"
― Joseph Fontana
"Had an awesome experience! Staff was awesome! Motorcycles were well maintained! Learned a lot about being safe on motorcycle. All the instructors were always attentive, giving great pointers for improvement. Always supportive of every rider. I was instructed by Eren, Glen, and Tex on my last day. They really helped me improve my practical skills in braking and turning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"My experience was great with Pacific Motorcycle Training in Woodland, on the Pioneer High School campus. Thomas and Steve were the instructors and they were very knowledgeable, supportive and fostered an overall nonjudgmental environment that was conducive to learning. I had never ridden a motorcycle in my life and by the end of the course I had a lot of the foundational skills down. I would recommend this course to anyone. And extra shout out to Thomas and Steve!"
― Tyler Hart
"A safe environment with expect staff to walk you through your desire to learn and build confidence in total control of riding a motorcycle. I highly recommend the basic course to anyone at any level or riding. The training was well worth my time as a licensed motorcyclist who learned new skills, refreshed old ones, and allowed a blend of fun, skill, and friendship getting to know other students and instructors. 👏"
― Mary Hostetler
"Taking this class made me so much more comfortable on a bike then I previously was. After taking the online courses and the driving classes I learned more and felt more confident. The instructor was clear and helpful, wasn't afraid to answer our questions."
― Dustin Phenix
"Q, Patrick, and Kieran were outstanding! They made the class very engaging and super fun learning environment. The class consisted of 9 students and the instructors did very well managing the group. They showed us great patience and kindness in class whenever we made mistakes. The instructors made sure that you’re capable of doing the riding exercises as safely as possible and develop good habits from it and hoping you’ll be able to apply those habits when you start riding out in the real world. I left feeling more informed than before and boosted my confidence in riding. The Pacific Motorcycle Training facility provided the same motorcycle for all students so there were no complaints about having a heavier bike nor having a taller bike than someone else. It was nice that we all had the same motorcycles because it created equal learning opportunities for everyone. Overall, I had a great experience. Looking forward to taking intermediate and advanced classes in the future!"
